Influence of interstitial Fe to the phase diagram of Fe1+yTe1−xSex single crystals
Superconductivity (SC) with the suppression of long-range antiferromagnetic (AFM) order is observed in the parent compounds of both iron-based and cuprate superconductors. The AFM wave vectors are bicollinear (π, 0) in the parent compound FeTe different from the collinear AFM order (π, π) in most iron pnictides. Study of the phase diagram of Fe1+yTe1-xSex is the most direct way to investigate t...
متن کاملReorientation of the diagonal double-stripe spin structure at Fe1+yTe bulk and thin-film surfaces
Establishing the relation between ubiquitous antiferromagnetism in the parent compounds of unconventional superconductors and their superconducting phase is important for understanding the complex physics in these materials. Going from bulk systems to thin films additionally affects their phase diagram. For Fe1+yTe, the parent compound of Fe1+ySe1-xTex superconductors, bulk-sensitive neutron di...
متن کاملFormation , structure and magnetism of the g - ( Fe , M ) 23 C 6 ( M 1⁄4 Cr , Ni ) phases : A fi rst - principles study
The g-(Fe,M)23C6 phases constitute an important class of iron carbides. They occur both as precipitates in steels and iron alloys, thereby increasing their strength, and as common minerals in meteorites and in iron-rich parts of the Earth's mantle. Here we investigate the composition-dependent relative stability of these phases and the role of magnetism therein. The g-(Fe,M)23C6 phases have min...
متن کاملTheory of magnetic order in Fe1+yTe1−xSex
We develop a local spin model to explain the rich magnetic structures in the ironbased superconductors Fe1+yTe1−xSex. We show that our model exhibits both commensurate antiferromagnetic and incommensurate magnetic order along the crystal a-axis. The transition from the commensurate to the incommensurate phase is induced when the concentration of excess Fe atoms is larger than a critical value. ...
متن کاملPhase diagram of Fe1+y(Te1-xSex): evolution from antiferromagnetism to superconductivity
Iron chalcogenide Fe1+y(Te,Se) is the simplified version of Fe-based superconductors [1,2] and has a unique antiferromagnetic (AFM) structure in the parent compound [3,4]. In iron pnictides the propagation direction of the SDW-type AFM order is along the edge of the Fe square lattice [5-7], while the AFM order in chalcogenide Fe1+yTe propagates along the diagonal direction of the Fe square latt...
